So what does it mean when the boy you like asks your friend if you like them, then pretends that he doesn't know what you're talking about when you try to bring it up, then refuses to speak to you about it? Then you come to find out that he lied about not knowing because he gave your friend shit for actually telling you?

There's a birthday party going on downstairs with a whole bunch of underage people who are drinking. Now, I've got no problem with underage drinkers since I used to be one before I actually, you know, turned 21. But I would just really appreciate it if they stopped yelling "Woo!" every few minutes. I mean, who does that? Why "Woo!"? What does that accomplish? How excited can you be that you feel the need to punctuate it with a "Woo!"?
"Give me another beer. Woo!"
"I love your top. Woo!"
"I really have to pee. Woo!"
I mean, what the fuck? Please articulate your enthusiasm with words that exist in the dictionary, especially since you're among friends at a birthday party, not with fans at a football game and your team just scored a touchdown. And you're in someone else's living room, too. How 'bout a "Yea!" or an "Awesome!"? Darn kids.
I think I'm gonna go downstairs and observe them a little. It's funny to note the differences between a party with underage drinkers and one where all the guests are of age because with those over 21, drinking is such a non-issue. It's kinda taken for granted. But with kids, it's like they're SO excited to have the alcohol and start acting all goofy when they have a little sip, and I'm sitting here thinking "Did I used to act like that when I was 19?" But, of course, I did, because everyone does. And it's kinda cool because even though in your head you don't think you're very different now from who you were 4 years ago, when you see a demonstration of how you used to act, it makes you notice how much you really have changed and, to be trite, matured. I smell a Social Behavior thesis.
Also, there's this really hot guy down there. I wonder how old he is.
